16th SSC(X/IT) COURSE PASSES OUT FROM INS VALSURA

27 officers of 16th SSC(X/IT) course from Indian Navy graduated from portals of INS Valsura on completion of 19 weeks of specialised training on 31 Mar 2023. This marks the culmination of their intensive and specially curated course, which has equipped them with the necessary skills and knowledge for their future duties. In addition to core IT subjects namely, network administration, ethical hacking, and cryptography, sports and adventure activities were also part of their training. A significant aspect of this course is that 18 of the 27 officers in the course are women. Rear Admiral Nelson D'souza, CSO (Tech), Eastern Naval Command reviewed the POP and awarded the meritorious officers, who excelled in academics, sports, and extracurricular activities. The POP, held at INS Valsura, was a proud moment for the officers and their families as the officers now move to hold various responsibilities in their next appointments. The valedictory address for the passing out ceremony was also delivered by Rear Admiral Nelson D'souza. As they move forward in their careers, the officers will carry the values and lessons they learned during their training at INS Valsura, contributing to the Indian Navy's continued pursuit of being ahead of the curve in adopting contemporary technologies and living up to the ethos of Duty, Honour, and Courage.
