Welcome to Anti-submarine Warfare School International Alumni Portal
Anti-submarine Warfare School is a category 'A' training establishment with its primary role to train officers and sailors in the various facets of ASW including Mine and MCM. Right from its inception, the erstwhile Torpedo Anti Submarine (TAS) School began training officers and men in the art of Anti Submarine Warfare and all the extent tasks that had devolved on the branch. The first Officer-in-Charge of the School was Lt.Cdr.R S Smith RN, from 08 May 1947-19 Dec 1948. He handed over charge to the first Indian Officer Lt.D K Kharbhari on 20 Dec 1948.
The year 1962 was significant as the first TAS specialist Course completed training in that year. The School has cursory records of officers who completed their specialization course in the early years.
