65TH INTERSERVICE WEIGHTLIFTING CHAMPIONSHIP 2022 CLOSING CEREMONY

The 65th Inter Services Weightlifting championship was conducted at INS Valsura on 

27 Nov 22 and culminated on 29 Nov 22. The event was conducted under the aegis of INSCB. The three-day championship was conducted in 10 categories. Vice Admiral Sreekumar Nair DGNP (V) was the chief guest for a closing ceremony and gave away the prizes. Two teams from the Indian Army (Army red and Army green) and one team each from the Indian Navy and Indian Air force competed in each category. The Indian Navy team was declared winners of the championship with 5 gold and 2 silver medals and scoring 75 points. The Army Red team was runners-up with 3 gold and 4 silver, while Army Green finished third, bagging 6 medals. L Sadananda Singh Sea II (GW) of Indian Navy is adjudged Best Weightlifter at the event.
